Orrery Revolver — Comet & Constellation Gun for VRChat

商品説明

▶ VRChat avatar effect · PC only · needs Modular Avatar (free, from VCC) · drag-and-drop prefab
Not made for one avatar: Modular Avatar hooks it to your avatar's own right hand bone at upload, so it works on humanoid avatars in general. Checked in Unity on the VRChat SDK sample avatar.

A revolver whose cylinder is a tiny glass orrery: every shot turns the planets and fires a comet that leaves a constellation glowing where it lands.
While the gun is out, the planets never stop: each one circles the little golden sun on its own tilted orbit inside the glass.
Make a fist and a comet streaks out at 30 m/s. Where it hits a wall or the floor, a constellation 1.6 m across draws itself, star by star, and fades.

EVERYTHING IN THE MENU ("Orrery Revolver")
• Draw: the revolver appears in your right hand in star dust (0.5 s), or disappears again (starts put away, remembered)
• Gesture fire: on = squeeze your right fist all the way to fire; open your hand and squeeze again for the next shot (on to start, remembered)
• Fire: a button that fires one shot from the menu
• Colour ▸ Dawn / Eclipse: both off = Night (remembered). A line of star light climbs the grip and runs to the muzzle and the colour changes over 0.5 s
• Glow: a radial for how bright the stars, the comet and the constellation are, 0% to 100%. Starts at 60% (remembered).

ONE SHOT (1.1 s)
• The drum reacts: the little sun flares, a band of light runs through the glass toward the barrel, and the orrery swings half a turn and settles
• The gun kicks up a few degrees and comes back
• A muzzle flash, then a comet with a sparkling tail flies up to 0.6 s (about 18 m)
• It hits the world and a constellation draws itself in about 0.9 s, then fades (1.5 s in all)
• Two comets take turns, so a new shot never cuts off the last constellation

3 COLORS
• Night: navy enamel, antique gold, blue star-glass barrel, white-blue comet
• Dawn: pearl enamel, rose gold, pink-violet glass
• Eclipse: black and silver, crimson glass, red comet

EASY TO PUT ON
Modular Avatar prefab: drag it onto your avatar and upload. The "Orrery Revolver" menu, parameters and animator layers are added for you, and the gun follows your right hand bone.
It is placed for the VRChat SDK's sample avatar. On your own avatar, move / rotate the Hand part once so the grip sits in your fist (the README shows how).

WHAT'S INCLUDED
• OG_1.1.0.unitypackage: 1 prefab (3 colors from the menu), 4 shaders, materials, menu and animator
• README (English and Japanese)

SPECS
• Tris: 24,558 (gun 23,592 + glass 960 + muzzle flash 6)
• Mesh renderers: 3 / Materials: 4 / Textures: 2 (1024) / Lights: none / Contacts: none
• Particle systems: 4 (at most 8 particles)
• Synced parameters: 19 bits
• VRChat PC rank on the SDK sample avatar wearing it: Medium (particle trails and world collision count as Medium)

REQUIREMENTS
• Modular Avatar (available through VCC)

TESTED WITH
Unity 2022.3.22f1 / VRChat SDK 3.10.5 / Modular Avatar 1.18.7. The parts, the menu and the animator steps are checked in Unity.
PC only (custom shaders, no Quest version).

GOOD TO KNOW
• The comet only hits the world, never other players. No damage, no hit effects on people.
• People who block custom shaders or particles in their Safety settings won't see the effect.

SUPPORT
If firing or anything else doesn't work as described in VRChat, message me. I'll fix it and send you the update for free.

AI DISCLOSURE (AI-Assisted)
The shaders, the code that builds this revolver and the text on this page were written with help from an AI assistant. An AI image generator made rough concept sketches I looked at while designing (the shape follows one of them); nothing it made is in the files or in the preview images, which are rendered in Unity from the actual revolver.

TERMS
• OK to use on your avatar in VRChat and other platforms
• OK to stream, record, and post on social media
• Editing is fine
• Please don't redistribute or resell the files, edited or not
