Candy Mimic | Trick-or-Treat Pumpkin Surprise for VRChat PC

Offer a sweet. Spring a trick!

Candy Mimic is a hand-held Halloween surprise for PC VRChat. Offer an ordinary wrapped candy with an open palm, then press Trick: it bursts into a pumpkin monster with glowing yellow eyes, purple smoke, bats, tiny ghosts and playful sound effects. After a big chomp and a mischievous cackle, it curls back into candy.

FEATURES

• Candy toggle automatically presents your right hand near the center of your torso.

• A 1.5-second delay after pressing Trick gives you time to close the menu.

• Approximately 5-second transformation with animation and sound.

• Separate sound toggle. Candy OFF cancels the effect and releases the arm pose.

• Candy and Trick start OFF; no permanently raised arm on avatar entry.

SETUP / REQUIREMENTS

Windows PC VRChat, Humanoid avatar, VRChat Avatars SDK and Modular Avatar.

Tested with Unity 2022.3.22f1, Avatars SDK 3.10.4 and Modular Avatar 1.18.7.

Import the unitypackage and place CandyMimic_RightHand.prefab under your RIGHT HAND bone. Fitted to Shinano; other avatars may need placement and animation adjustments. Required SDK and Modular Avatar are not included. Custom PC shaders are included. Standalone Quest / Android is unsupported.

While Candy is on, the right arm and fingers use a presentation pose, including in VR. Other gesture/pose systems may conflict. VR controller feel has not been tested. See the included English and Japanese instructions for fitting details.

TESTING / ONLINE VISIBILITY

Owner-view operation confirmed in PC VRChat with Shinano after a normal private upload. Remote-player visibility and network/audio timing remain untested; the three menu controls are configured for network synchronization. Upload and wear a normal Private online avatar for other players to see the prop. SDK Build & Test is local-only. Other players’ Safety and avatar/audio settings can hide or mute it.

Approximately 92,000 total mesh triangles; check the performance cost of your complete avatar. Lighting and backgrounds affect appearance.

INCLUDED FILES

Unitypackage containing the prop prefab, models, textures, materials, PC shaders, animations, sound effects and menu setup; Japanese and English instructions, specifications, terms and changelog.

Avatar, clothing, other accessories, worlds and Blender/FBX/GLB source files are not included. This is a digital prop, not a complete avatar or physical product.

PRODUCTION / IMAGES

Initial part meshes were generated with Tripo and then refined for texture, shape, animation, effects and Unity integration. The cover is a layout edit using generative AI and actual VRChat screenshots. The video shows actual gameplay at original effect speed, with menu operation and the recording-stop screen trimmed.

Personal avatar use, modifications, photos, videos and monetized streams are allowed. Redistribution/resale of the data and inclusion in Public VRChat avatars are prohibited. See the full included terms.

「お菓子どうぞ……と思ったら、いたずらでした！」手のひらのキャンディがカボチャお化けに変身する、PC VRChat用の小物です。キャンディ表示で右腕を差し出し、Trickを押すと1.5秒後に演出が始まります。効果音は個別にON/OFFできます。

しなので調整・本人視点の実機確認済み。Modular Avatarが必要です。Prefabは右手ボーンの子に配置してください。他アバターは位置・ポーズ調整が必要な場合があります。約9.2万三角形と比較的重めの小物です。Quest / Android単体は非対応。複数人での通信・相手側の見え方、VRコントローラーの操作感は未確認です。
