Often times, particles in VRChat feel obtrusive, out-of-place and immersion-breaking
This is usually because Unity's particle system is over-complicated, hard to understand and harder to use to its full potential.
I've been obsessing over particles for long enough to be able to do them right and now you can benefit from my suffering too!
The first pack in a series of packaged particle systems: Trails!
4 unique particle systems, set up perfectly to look as natural as possible in motion!
Contains 8 prefabs:
- 4 VRCFury prefabs that will attach particles to both of your hands with a toggle and hue-shift slider.
- 4 prefabs of each individual particle system alone with some pretty colours set.
Ideal for performers, attaching to spring-joints or other props and really anything else you can think of.
Uses VRChat's mobile particle shaders for native quest compatibility. For improved brightness on PC, consider switching and configuring shaders. (I recommend Mochie's particle shader!)
✨Particle Systems
- Stars: A mix of small and large stars with constellation lines connecting the larger stars near the start of the trail.
Stats: 3 Material Slots, 2 Particle Systems, 240 Max Particles. - Shards: Triangular shards that build up energy and then shatter into smaller shards.
Stats: 3 Material Slots, 3 Particle Systems, 330 Max Particles. - Fire: Soft, ethereal fire that leaves behind a trail of embers and smoke.
Stats: 3 Material Slots, 3 Particle Systems, 320 Max Particles. - Embers: Like burning steel wool, sparks that fly and bounce off the ground.
Stats: 3 Material Slots, 3 Particle Systems, 210 Max Particles, Particle Collision ON.
Double all statistic values for the dual-handed VRCFury prefab.

- Basic Unity knowledge, enough to install a prefab on an avatar.
